Current student set to study mathematics at University of Cambridge

Year 13 student, Kerry, has received a conditional offer to study mathematics at one of the leading universities in the world, University of Cambridge, starting this September.

To secure her university placement, Kerry, who is currently studying maths, further maths, chemistry and physics, will need to achieve two A* grades and an A in her upcoming A-level exams.

“I have always wanted to go to either Oxford or Cambridge University, and I have always had a passion for maths, especially since both of my parents are accountants and it has always surrounded me.”

“I have also received conditional offers from Birmingham, Warwick and Nottingham but Cambridge is my first choice.”

“I joined UTC Oxfordshire in Year 12 (sixth form) because it focused on subjects I am interested in, but also because it is a smaller school meaning there is more focus on individual students.”

“Since joining the UTC, I have really grown in confidence. As part of our weekly Employer-Led Projects (ELP) we present back to others, which gets you out of your comfort zone, and only develops you further.”

“I am really excited and proud to have received an offer from University of Cambridge, nevertheless slightly terrified, as now I have to work really hard to get that high offer!

We wish Kerry all the best of luck in her upcoming exams and for her bright future ahead.
