We will be holding a free Careers Showcase and Open Event on Wednesday 28 November, giving prospective students and the public the chance to not only gain a glimpse into UTC life, but also to meet local and national employers such as BMW Mini, Williams F1 and Oxford Space Systems, to discuss career paths and opportunities.
This event will run from 5.30-7.30pm, with a Year 10 talk at 6pm and a Year 12 talk at 6.30pm, both led by our UTC Principal, Owain Johns.
If you are interested in joining the UTC, or finding out more about what the UTC has to offer, there will be an opportunity to meet current students and staff, tour our state-of-the-art facilities and discover more about our links with employer partners.
We also recently opened our Cryogenics Laboratory – becoming the first school to open one in the UK! Don’t miss the chance to see this.
The Careers Showcase will be held in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). Confirmed employers so far are: BMW Mini, Diamond Light Source, STFC, MRC, Oxford Space Systems, Taylor Wimpey, UKAEA, Willmott Dixon, Crown Packaging, Evotec, Immunocore, RWE Npower, Williams Jet Tenders, Williams F1, Glanville Associates, Overbury, Nielson, HT2 Labs, Nuvia, Oxford Brookes, University of Reading, Abingdon and Witney College, Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Oxfordshire Advanced Skills, Royal Air Force, Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre, OxLep and Activate Learning.
