Year 12 student secures Jaguar Land Rover apprenticeship

Following a competitive process, Year 12 UTC Oxfordshire student, image1James Ostridge, has secured an apprenticeship with Jaguar Land Rover.

After filling out a lengthy application form, James had to complete some online tests before sending his CV and being invited to attend an interview. Ten people were interviewed in total, for just two places on the apprenticeship scheme starting this September.

Science students selected to tackle real-world health challenges

UTC Oxfordshire’s science department, together with the SWIbiosciences department at Oxford Brookes University, has been selected to join the Small World Initiative (Switch) project.

The SWI is being run by the Microbiology Society to involve students and an industry partner in the real-world search for new antibiotics from soil micro-organisms. The project will help overcome the growing problem of antibiotic resistance.

We are seeking a Business Administration Apprentice to join our growing team this summer. This varied role will include interacting with staff, students, parents, and business partners, and due to the unique nature of our school, the skills learnt will be transferable to the education and business sectors alike.
