Headteacher’s Welcome

Transforming Lives Through Learning

Welcome to UTC Oxfordshire, an extraordinary place where we help young people learn and prepare for their specialist careers in Science and Engineering.

I feel very privileged to be leading UTC Oxfordshire. Students in Years 10 to 13 join us from across our region for an exciting and unique learning experience. We are based in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities, in the heart of Oxfordshire, near an expanding cluster of science and engineering employers.

We are committed to helping our students gain the qualifications and experience their future employers are looking for. Our curriculum combines core academic subjects with the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in our specialist areas. From day one, students are engaged in solving genuine problems using industry specialist equipment. This helps give them a head start in their chosen careers.

Students at UTC Oxfordshire are supported by our committed, experienced teaching staff, and a wide range of industry partners such as BMW, The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), RM Education, and our sponsors, Activate Learning, Royal Holloway (University of London) and Reading University. We all work together, sharing our passion for Science and Engineering with our students, helping equip them with the knowledge and skills they will need for a successful career.

We look forward to working with all new students.

Emma Reynolds, Headteacher of UTC Oxfordshire

UTC Oxfordshire will offer you something different and we expect you to want something different:

  • to follow your passion in Sciences or Engineering while studying for your GCSE’s, A Levels or technical qualification
  • to learn independently through our employer-led projects and embrace the opportunities to work through challenges and projects set by our industry partners
  • to want the best chance of moving into employment or further and higher educations in your chosen field by embracing the professional business approach to education.

If you want to benefit from the latest technology in learning and be in an environment that feels more like being at work than school, then UTC Oxfordshire could be for you.

Please contact us to discuss any aspect of UTC Oxfordshire or to arrange a tour of our facilities.

We would warmly welcome you to join us in September.
