The Senior Leadership Team, Staff and all at UTC are committed to providing all students with a programme of events and supporting activities to provide them with information and guidance about career opportunities and employment. This will be guided by the Gatsby Benchmarks thus ensuring best practice.
The current careers programme is delivered through a combination of methods, including Tutor time, PPD in Year 10 – 13 and through assemblies, competitions, presentations, employer visits, workshops and 1:1 session.

USEFUL INFORMATION
For Students
Students will have several other careers related opportunities throughout the academic year to complement their studies and continue to develop their employability skills in preparation for the world of work.Â
For Parents
- All careers related events that take place off site or beyond the end of the school day will require a consent form which will be sent home prior to the event taking place.Â
- All businesses that attend the school for careers purposes are DBS checked and/or are supervised whilst working with our students.Â
- All our year 10 and 12 students will attend a two-week work experience placement and UTC Oxfordshire asks that you support us and the students with allocating these placements.Â

Can you offer careers support?
We are always keen to have parents who work for, or who own, their own business related to Engineering or Science to work with us and our students. If you think you may be able to support our UTC in anyway, please contact admin@utcoxfordshire.org.ukÂ
