UTC Oxfordshire students celebrate GCSE and technical qualification success
Year 11 students at UTC Oxfordshire are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE and Level 2 technical qualification results.
Students arrived at the school this morning to collect their results, reflecting on their achievement and looking ahead to the next stage of their education, training or employment.
Today, the school is celebrating:
- 100% of our students achieved a pass grade in Level 1/2 Sport Science
- 56% achieved GCSE Maths at grade 4 and above
- 55% achieved GCSE English at grade 4 and above
We are proud of all our students for their hard work and resilience. Some notable individual achievements include:
- Yarden B secured top grades (7s, 8s and 9s) in Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Computer Science, Business and Hebrew, after taking an astonishing 12 GCSE’s in total.
- Lavi B achieved 12 GCSE’s, including six at grades 5 to
- Loukas B achieved 10 GCSE’s, eight of which were a grade 6 or better.
- Flynn D achieved 9 GCSE’s, five of which were grade 7 or 8.
- Annabel F achieved 10 GCSE’s, including grade 8 in both English Language and Math.
- Lorna H achieved 11 GCSE’s; all grade 5 and above.
- Gautam SN achieved 10 GCSE’s, six of which were a grade of 7 or higher.
- Christopher S achieved 12 GCSE’s, all of which were grade 5 or better. He also studied Computer science independently and gained a grade of 6.
- Cailean S secured a top grade in English Language with a 9.
- Jacob P achieved 12 GCSE’s, seven of which were a grade 5 or better. He also studied Computer science independently and gained a grade 6.
Students are moving on to a range of exciting destinations. These include apprenticeships with Dragontek, Behind Closed Doors (Engineering), Darke and Taylor (Electronics) and Little Fishes Nursery, as well as progression into UTC Oxfordshire’s sixth form.
Yarden, who achieved exceptional results, wants to continue studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science.
“I am not quite sure what to do after my studies, I just want to do something that makes me happy! For now, I am going to celebrate by baking desserts!”
As for Jacob, he was pleased with his results and he is aiming to become an Investment Banker. With an impressive achievement of 7 grades of 5 or better, we are very confident that Jacob has a very bright future ahead of him in the finance sector.
Gautam, who is looking forward to go out and celebrate his amazing results, is going to continue his studies at UTC Oxfordshire in Sixth Form, in the hope to work in Aeronautics after his studies. We are very proud of Gautam, whose consistency and hard work paid off. We will support you the best we can so you can achieve your career goals!
Least but not last, we are beyond pleased for Lavi B, Lorna H, Christopher S, Annabel F, Loukas B, and Cailean S who did exceptionally well on their GCSE exams.
All of our students have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, and they thoroughly deserve a wonderful and restful summer break before returning in September, refreshed and ready for another successful and rewarding academic year.

We are especially proud of our Engineering and Product Design students, whose accomplishments are all the more impressive given the staffing challenges encountered during their courses. Their perseverance and positive attitude have been exemplary.
We wish all students every success in their next steps and look forward to welcoming back those continuing their studies with us in the Sixth Form this September.”
Alongside their GCSEs and technical qualifications, students have worked closely with a range of employer partners to develop work-readiness skills and career insight. These real-world experiences give our students a strong foundation for future success, wherever their journey takes them.
